WHY KNAPP CUSTOM IS DIFFERENT
In 1996, I started my business by subcontracting for other companies. While gaining on-site experience from carpenters that had been in the trade for 35+ years, I saw many take advantage of their clients. Tiring of witnessing this, I broke out on my own and started my own company, doing things my way: creating high-quality products in an honest, open setting. Clients soon became friends, and with the multiple referrals, my business grew.

About Ryan Knapp
My father is the reason I learned my quality building skills. When I was 8, I started building bike and skateboard jumps for kids around the neighborhood. When I was 11, I shadowed my dad as he built a full 2-story addition on our home. From 13-17, I worked at a local hardware store which, as a kid, was the best overall learning experience I could have had in this industry. At 19, I moved home from Vail, Colorado to start a contracting business here in Carver, Minnesota. After weathering numerous storms, that small business has grown into what it is today with a focus on client satisfaction.
I am also the lucky husband and father of a great family and love spending time with them outdoors. I enjoy CrossFit, mountain biking, hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin with family and friends.
